I could hardly stand to read this.

So sorry too for your friend's unimaginable loss.

We came upon this information after we circumcized our baby boy. He developed comlications and our world turned upside down. That's when we learned that baby's foreskin is also prized by companies who make facial creams...

The Lord bless you and give you direction. May I just encourage you by saying that if money is the only obstacle in taking a special needs child, fear not.

We have been blessed with four adopted children with severe special needs. Since you are already health minded you will not be surprised to know that many issues can be dealt with naturally. For example, our son came as an infant on about ten medications. We worked together with doctors replacing natural ideas for medical treatments. Today, through whole foods he is on no medication.

In the US, all children with special needs are eligible for medicad. We have never had need to use it but nice to know it's there if needed.

Thank you for the recommendation missionarytravelmomma! =) Our hearts are open to a special needs child but due to financial constraints and a lack of health insurance we do not know that we would be able to provide adequate medical care for a special needs child. It is our hope and prayer to be in a better financial place that we could afford the potentially high costs of medical care for one of these extra special kids in a few years down the road and are working towards that goal.
